    Childrens Books

Children of all ages can benefit from books. Reading to a young child can help then with their language and speech development. It is also good bonding time together.

Young children should be encouraged to read, this will help start a lasting pass time that they can enjoy thoughout their life.

Reading helps a child be more creative and develop a healthy imagination.

Some of my favourite childrens books are

    Where's Spot by Eric Hill
There is a whole series of Spot books including pop-up books. Aimed at the 0-2 age bracket these books will be read over and over again. These are very entertaining, great stories with great illustrations.

Mr Men Books by Roger Hargreaves
There is a full set of Mr Men books, including Mr Tickle, Mr Happy, Mr Small, Mr Nonsense, Mr Forgetful, Mr Noisy, Mr Messy, mr Grumpy, Mr Strong, Mr Cheerful and many more. All great stories, very funny, kids will love reading them.

Winnie the Pooh by AA Milne
Winnie the Pooh is a classic, children love to read the hilarious tales of Pooh getting himself in a predicament because of his love for honey, or the mischief that Tigger causes. The characters of Winnie the Pooh are loved by both children and adults alike.

Georges Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl
Rald Dahl has written some fantastic childrens books. Funny, scary and maybe slightly weird but all truly entertaining. Many have been made into film. Some of my favourites are The BFG, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Twits and The witches. Roald Dahl also wrote some great children's poetry.

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis
An all time classic. An exciting fantasy mystical adventure.

The Faraway Tree by End Blyton
A series of children's novels called - The enchanted wood, The Magic Faraway Tree and The Folk of the Faraway Tree. The story is about 3 children who discover the faraway tree in the enchanted wood and all it's fantastic characters.

    Harry Potter by JK Rowling
A series of books about a young wizard and his time at wizard school.
